Whether picking for complex batch size 1 systems, plate handling for machining centers or handling for fully automatic edge cycles – our industrial robots take on a wide variety of tasks in the wood and furniture industry and thus make your production even more efficient.
Thanks to the low-maintenance systems, you not only increase the degree of automation of your production, but also benefit from the extremely high availability and low operating costs.
The numerous work steps that can be optimized with our tailor-made robotics solutions include: Feeding | Stacking | Sort | Picking | Buffering | They can even be used for part processing and assembly. Thanks to their three-dimensional field of action, our robots open up options that cannot be realized with linear handling equipment. In addition to a range of standard solutions, we also offer special solutions – specially developed for your requirements.
The perfect introduction to automation is provided by our Robot.work solution for the cutting area. By equipping our fh 4 and fh 5 saws with an industrial robot, you are able to process cutting plans automatically without sacrificing the option of manual operation. The robot can be stacked chaotically on up to three double-euro pallets or used in a chain. Do you already own a fh machine? Let’s see if a robot can be retrofitted!
For even more machine utilization, we recommend the fully automatic operation of our Performance.cut with the help of a robot. The robot removes the parts from the machine and feeds them to the various process targets. These can be achieved via conveyor technology, stacks or a combination of these. A residual feedback system ensures that there are no waiting times when loading the Performance.cut. While the bulk of the remainder is removed from the front, the next raw plate can already be fed from the back.
Stacking, turning, turning: the robots on our edging machines do all this with ease. Regardless of whether the automation of the part flow is to be carried out from the flow or from the stack, the robots from IMA Schelling offer high cycle rates with maximum availability. Especially in complex systems or with chaotic stacking patterns, the robots show their advantages to the full.
To ensure optimum utilisation of the machine, panels from transport or stack can be placed on and removed from the BIMA Cx40 machining centre of the IMA Schelling Group in a timely manner. Due to the high availability of the robot, batches can be produced automatically and reliably. Both as a stand-alone solution and in a chain. For an even larger radius of use, the robot can be equipped with the proven linear axis from IMA Schelling.
Timely loading is crucial for BIMA’s capacity utilization. We have solved this problem for you with our robot. Panels can be flexibly placed and removed from transport or stacking on the BIMA Px80 machining centre from the IMA Schelling Group. Due to the built-in linear axis, the system can easily be expanded to include further applications. For this purpose, you can choose from various modules, such as: Shelves, trolleys, stacking stations, etc. Turning parts is also possible through the use of the 6-axis robot.
Searching for parts and filling up areas are a thing of the past thanks to the tried-and-tested and effective Robot.sort v sorting system from IMA Schelling. On an area of less than 9 x 10 m, the robot automatically stores your parts in packages and picks them out again. For high capacities, the system can be easily multiplied and daisy-chained. The expansion with additional modules, e.g. Trolleys, stacking places, etc. is possible. The parts can be brought into the sorting system via conveyor technology or removed directly from the Performance.cut.
For absolute batch size 1 requirements, you will also need an absolute lot size 1 sorting buffer. By storing the workpieces in individual compartments, the robot has access to each part at all times. With our gripping technology, even large workpieces can be reliably held and transported safely. Our configurable shelves can also be easily adapted to your range of parts at a later date. Our experts will be happy to assist you with the design of the shelves.
On piles or in the horde carts? Fully automated or manually loaded? Everything is possible with the pick & place robot for trolleys from IMA Schelling. With our transport system, the trolleys move reliably through the process. Do you already have trolleys in use? Our experts from the field of systems engineering check whether we can use your cars so that your investment remains as low as possible.
Distributing workpieces to different stacking targets is easy with our stacking system. Depending on the dimensions, up to five stacks can be fed by a robot at the same time. Both serial and chaotic stacking images are possible. Our software reliably calculates the stability of the resulting stacks and thus ensures safe and compact stacking with high packing density.
